Privacy Policy
HAVENCREST PTE. LTD. (hereinafter referred to as the “Company”) establishes the following Privacy Policy (hereinafter referred to as this “Policy”) regarding the handling of users’ personal information in connection with the services provided on this website (hereinafter referred to as the “Service”).
Article 1 (Personal Information)
“Personal Information” means “personal information” as defined under the Act on the Protection of Personal Information, and refers to information concerning a living individual that can identify a specific individual by name, date of birth, address, telephone number, contact details, or other descriptions contained in such information, as well as data relating to facial features, fingerprints, voiceprints, and information such as the insurer number on a health insurance card that can identify a specific individual by itself (personal identification information).
Article 2 (Method of Collecting Personal Information)
The Company may ask users to provide personal information such as name, date of birth, address, telephone number, email address, bank account number, credit card number, driver’s license number, and other information when users register for use of the Service. In addition, the Company may collect information concerning transaction records and payment details, including users’ personal information, made between users and business partners, from the Company’s business partners, including information providers, advertisers, advertising distributors, and other parties (hereinafter referred to as “Business Partners”).
Article 3 (Purposes of Collecting and Using Personal Information)
The purposes for which the Company collects and uses personal information are as follows:
To provide and operate the Company’s services
To respond to inquiries from users, including identity verification
To send users emails regarding new features, updates, campaigns, and other information concerning services currently used by users, as well as information about other services provided by the Company
To contact users as necessary for maintenance, important notices, and other matters
To identify users who have violated the Terms of Use or who attempt to use the Service for fraudulent or improper purposes, and to refuse their use of the Service
To allow users to view, change, or delete their registered information and view their usage status
To bill users for usage fees in connection with paid services
For purposes incidental to the above purposes of use
Article 4 (Provision of Personal Information to Third Parties)
Except in the following cases, the Company will not provide personal information to third parties without obtaining the user’s prior consent. However, this excludes cases permitted under the Act on the Protection of Personal Information or other laws and regulations.
When it is necessary for the protection of a person’s life, body, or property, and it is difficult to obtain the consent of the individual concerned
When it is particularly necessary for the improvement of public health or the promotion of the sound growth of children, and it is difficult to obtain the consent of the individual concerned
When it is necessary to cooperate with a national government agency, local public entity, or a person entrusted by either of them in performing affairs prescribed by laws and regulations, and obtaining the consent of the individual concerned may impede the performance of such affairs
When the following matters have been notified or publicly announced in advance, and the Company has submitted a notification to the Personal Information Protection Commission:
That the purpose of use includes provision to third parties
The items of data to be provided to third parties
The means or method of provision to third parties
That provision of personal information to third parties will be stopped upon request by the individual concerned
The method for accepting requests from the individual concerned
Notwithstanding the preceding paragraph, in the following cases, the party receiving the information shall not be deemed a third party:
When the Company entrusts all or part of the handling of personal information to a third party within the scope necessary to achieve the purposes of use
When personal information is provided in connection with the succession of business due to a merger or other reason
When personal information is used jointly with a specific party, and the individual concerned has been notified in advance, or placed in a condition where the individual can easily become aware, of the fact of joint use, the items of personal information to be jointly used, the scope of joint users, the purpose of use by the users, and the name or designation of the person responsible for the management of such personal information
Article 5 (Correction and Deletion of Personal Information)
If a user’s personal information held by the Company is incorrect, the user may request the Company to correct, add, or delete such personal information (hereinafter referred to as “Correction, etc.”) in accordance with the procedures prescribed by the Company.
If the Company receives a request from a user under the preceding paragraph and determines that it is necessary to comply with such request, the Company shall make the Correction, etc. of the relevant personal information without delay.
If the Company makes a Correction, etc. based on the preceding paragraph, or decides not to make a Correction, etc., the Company shall notify the user of such decision without delay.
